Tips for Planning Your Wedding

This is more like a photographer's wish list. It's a list of things you can do to ensure that you get the best images possible. And a few side tips too!

A Variety Pack

Black and White, Color, or a vintage feel. We love to give you lots of options when we edit each photo.

All The Details

Every little detail, every side story...we capture it all. We shoot all of our weddings as though it was our own.

All the Emotions

I love those moments where everyone lets there walls down and they just allow themselves to fall into that exact moment. It's the emotional part of the story.

Images by the Thousands

We get asked all the time...How many pictures do you take? The answer...on average we take 2000-5000 images

Husband and Wife Team

We first fell in love with photography. Then many years later we fell in love with each other. We combined our passions and found a way to spend more time together. An innovative photography company prevailed.

Sarah + Geordie...Married at Last

Posted by Unknown On Wednesday, December 02, 2009
If I had a choice in picking my style of wedding it would be a country wedding shortly followed by a beach wedding. Rustic weddings have a special ambiance about them that just yields creative photography. Sarah + Geordie kept their wedding simple, but picked a location that was nestled next to a rushing river and made for a beautiful setting. Candles glowed inside Mason jars and twinkle lights warmed the night air. Fresh lemonade and live folk music played as everyone danced freely on the large sprawling lawn. A gorgeous setting and a beautiful couple...everything was just perfect that night.
We didn't have the pleasure of meeting Sarah + Geordie prior to the wedding which is always a little nerve racking for us. Luckily for us they were an amazing couple full of vibrancy, love and a passion for life. We almost died laughing while trying to do the formals for the groomsmen. As much as we tried to maintain control and have the photos done in a timely manner the boys insisted on turning our photo shoot into play time. Instead of fighting it, we went with it and captured some great images of the boys being themselves...outrageous. I love that Sarah embraces Geordie and his love for being a ham and joins in as comedic duo. You can truly see that these two are best friends from way back...just the way it should be.
Sarah & Geordie, I hope that you never loose your flare for life and passion for each other. We had a blast documenting your wedding and thanks again for entertaining us all evening.

I wish I could say that the umbrella was my idea, but it wasn't. Props are always great for adding flare to any photo shoot.

One of the best pieces of advice I can offer is to take advantage of the "magic hour." That time just before the sun sets. We took pictures earlier in the day, but the harsh sunlight forced us to retreat to the shady spots of the porch. Luckily they were willing to step away from the reception to capture some gorgeous images.

I love it when guests decided to let loose and dance as though no one is watching. In reality we are watching, capturing, and loving every minute of it.

The food was amazing, but they were a little tough to work with. Great presentation.

Great Tip: As they kissed during the ceremony the bridal party threw flowers. It was completely unintentional, but it turned out gorgeous.
