So we just recovered from a big weekend. Actually scratch that....it was a HUGE weekend. I knew the weekend was coming and as usual I tucked it into the back of my mind to dwell on later. I don't like to worry about things, stress too much or panic about things that I can't control. So this weekend came up on me sort of fast. I always worry about these kinds of weekends because I wonder if I can manage it. Not even manage as much as be my very best through out it all. I just hoped that I had all the creativity on the 3rd day that I had on the 1st.
Here's how our weekend rolled...
Natasha + Kyle's wedding...14 hours. Natasha + Kyle got married at DeLille Cellars which has a french chateau that set the theme for the night. We shot by the ponds, tasted some of the most amazing food and captured people being absolutely hilarious on the dance floor. The wedding was beautiful and Natasha was this petite, gorgeous vision that made everything so naturally beautiful. The evening was so magical and I felt so blessed to be there.
Tanesha + Donte's wedding...They had us for 12 hours. From the moment I took the first picture I was surrounded by Tanesha + Donte's family...friends too, but they were pretty much family so I include them as one. Tanesha had 16 gals in her side of the bridal party!!!! And everyone had huge personalities to boot. At every wedding I have a few people that I keep an eye on. They are the ones that get things fired up. At this wedding it was like a kid in a candy store. Everyone was willing to get things started. It was so fun to just mingle & capture the laughs that were everywhere. Their family were so inviting and loving that I felt like they were my family too.
As we approached our 3 engagement sessions on Sunday I was worried that I would be too tired to still have new ideas. BUT, instead we had 3 amazing sessions with 3 couples who seriously knew how to work it. They made the shoots so easy. I would tell them my idea...you know what I was invisioning and they would just do it and completely make it their own. It was amazing! Thank you to Nikki, Christian, Jocelyn, Mike, Danielle, & Brian for being so incredible to photograph.
This weekend was rough, but I have never felt so blessed in what I do as I felt this weekend. We had 2 amazing weddings, 3 incredible couples to work with and we were busy during a bad economy. God has blessed us and I praise Him for everything we have.
Here is a quick shot of an engagement session we are working on.
