It seems like I am always asking myself this same question..."Where has our time gone?" We spend so much time intently focused on our Macs that we look up at 2 in the morning and realize that are day is done.
Let's see, it's 11 am on a week day which means that we have officially stretched , pulled back the sheets and crawled out of bad. It may sound like we are lazy, but we really do stay up until 2 or 3 am. My husband and I have a about 45 minutes of "alone" time which means that we go our separate ways and focus on the things we need to do to start our day and stay sane I might add. I normally read my Bible, grab a bite to eat and walk through the garden. Can't honestly say what Eddie does. Then we find our stations behind our computers.
We have the best job in the world for the pure fact that my entire day consists of sitting about 1 foot away from my hubby. I really couldn't ask for more!
We normally run through and answer emails, spend about 4-5 hours working on business things like updating our online galleries, our website, and making phone calls. Then from about 3-3 we edit photos. Crazy huh? When you stare at a computer screen for that long you have to have some sort of stimulus that helps manage the sanity. We normally pop in a movie and listen to it while we edit. And it never seems like enough time.
I love updating our friends on what we have been up to, because they all know that we were either shooting a wedding or editing one. Yes, the life of a photographer isn't quite as glamorous and most people think. We live pretty simple lives. But, we are lucky enough to spend everyday exactly one foot apart from each other....and we call it work.
