Tips for Planning Your Wedding

This is more like a photographer's wish list. It's a list of things you can do to ensure that you get the best images possible. And a few side tips too!

A Variety Pack

Black and White, Color, or a vintage feel. We love to give you lots of options when we edit each photo.

All The Details

Every little detail, every side story...we capture it all. We shoot all of our weddings as though it was our own.

All the Emotions

I love those moments where everyone lets there walls down and they just allow themselves to fall into that exact moment. It's the emotional part of the story.

Images by the Thousands

We get asked all the time...How many pictures do you take? The answer...on average we take 2000-5000 images

Husband and Wife Team

We first fell in love with photography. Then many years later we fell in love with each other. We combined our passions and found a way to spend more time together. An innovative photography company prevailed.

Eddie has his own blog too. It's another perspective on our photography adventures. You can find his blog at lyfephotography.blogspot.com.

Honeymoon Wishes

I can't possibly take this amazing idea as my own. While shooting engagements of Krisha + Troy we started to discuss the wedding and where they might go for their honeymoon. Suddenly Krisha's eyes lit up and she started to tell me all about Honeymoon Wishes. An amazing website where they help you set up a gift registry for a honeymoon instead of the home goodies that you might already have. The beautiful part is that you can completely customize your honeymoon plans AND your guests can buy activities for you. Going to Hawaii? Well your Aunt Ruth might just want to make sure you go snorkeling...so it's on her. So amazing! Krisha mentioned that she was going to take pictures of each activity that they are doing so they can send personal thank you to each guest. So brilliant!

Every since I was little I wanted to be unlike anyone else. I had to seperate myself from the pack and ensure I was different. Everyday I would grab two different colored socks and wear them with my cons. Seriously, this went on until I was well into 8th grade. Who does that?
Something inside me just HAD to reinforce the fact that I was some super creative person. I am so glad that I grew up. But, ever since that strange phase I have wondered why I don't still carry a little bit of that "mental-ity."
My wedding for example...I saw this youtube video and thought, "now why didn't we do something like this?!" This is so down my line and nothing. Didn't even cross my mind. I love it! It's just being differnt.

Chrisina + Ruben...10 Years Makes Forever

Posted by Unknown On Friday, May 14, 2010 0 comments
There he was staring down at the menu thinking about what he was going to say. He wanted this moment to be special. He hoped that Christina would spend the next few months gushing about him and this very moment. He kept rehearsing the words that he would say. Sweat was glistening on his cheeks as he looked into her eyes. "Christina, you know I love you." he would say. He would mention how much she has changed his life and something about wanting to forever be with her.
Suddenly a round of applause exploded in the restaurant. Everyone was craning their necks to look at the couple right next to them. There it was...as if from a horrific story that no one would believe. A man was down on his knee proposing to his girlfriend. How could this be happening? Seriously? Two people proposing on the same day. Ruben's heart was pounding and he panicked over his options. Propose and be second best or wait for the right moment?
Ruben knew that Christina meant way to much to him to give her runners up. So, he ended up proposing in a less public manner and one year to the date they got married. After 10 years of dating they finally exchanged rings and said their vows. The wedding was amazing and so completely Christina and Ruben. There wasn't one moment where someone wasn't celebrating, laughing or hugging each other. It was exactly what they wanted.

Congratulations you guys! We had such an amazing time with you two and all your family & friends. You guys really know how to through a party. Good luck on your business venture and we can't wait to see you guys!

Cathy + Charles...Their Night in a Castle

Posted by Unknown On Thursday, May 13, 2010 2 comments
She is this very tiny and beautiful creature that has such a spark for life. You can see it in the way she walks or the way her eyes light up when he comes up with a crazy idea. Charles is this big, strong fireman who seems like the perfect knight in shining armor. The day we first met them we knew that they were so different from any other couple we had met. It seemed as though they had some secret check list of things they wanted to experience before they died. It seemed as though their lists combined when they met each other and suddenly they found themselves on a treasure hunt for good times.
As he lifts her up and swings her around you can tell that they are partners in crime. Lovers for life and best friends on the road to something exciting.
There love story is simple, but their desire to be together in love is all the adventure.
Cathy and Charles spent countless hours insuring that every aspect of their wedding was personal to who they were. Talk about knight in shining armor...Charles designed the cake table and even made the bouquets. Seriously!! That's one heck of a man.
Congratulations you too! I know you are going to enjoy life as man and wife. Please, please keep us posted on your travels, adventures and great places to camp/ take pictures.

My Fair Booth!

Posted by Unknown On Friday, May 07, 2010 2 comments
I hung up the phone and immediately turned to my best friend to share the good news. "Eddie! My father is bringing up the photo booth!" We have been dreaming of the day when we would own our own photo booth. I'm sure you remember them! Don't you? It's a little booth with a curtain, you step inside, take four pictures and then retreat to capture your strip of images. Ah...now, you remember.
Well, now we are going to have one. My father is the most amazing master craftsman on the planet and he designed a special booth just for us. It's a lot more classy than your typical fair booth and will be a higher quality. I am so excited!
I'll keep you posted on all the details as they arrive.

Here is a photo from Cathy + Charles's wedding. More to come soon!

Cheren + Tyler...That Kind of Love Is Infectious

Posted by Unknown On Wednesday, May 05, 2010 0 comments
As I shut the car door and settled into my seat I started to think about how lucky I was. Every once in a while it will hit me that I am really blessed to be doing what I love. We had just finished a photo shoot with Cheren and Tyler. They are an amazing couple who love each other in a way that makes me want to cuddle up next to Eddie and tell him a hundred times, "I love you."
They were so simple. I would ask them to just be together how they would be at home. Immediately they started to stare into each others eyes. Cheren would get a huge grin across her gorgeous face and rub her nose softly against his cheek. What they were at home is exactly what they are in person. A beautiful couple who are madly in love. As we strolled down the streets looking for great places to shoot, we experienced the other more fun side of them. We realized very quickly that they are an amazing couple who are off to an amazing start.
Cheren & Tyler, we are so excited to be shooting your wedding this summer and thank you for spreading your love all over!

Marie + Greg...Marriage Came Tumbling After

Posted by Unknown On Tuesday, May 04, 2010 0 comments
It has been said that you can never meet anyone at a bar. At least not anyone worth while. But, as Marie sat across the crowded tavern and stared through the people at one guy in particular, she knew there was possibilities. She watched him and finally mentioned to her cousin that she thought the guy in the red has was all to irresistible. After traveling to a new bar in her little college town she found the same gorgeous guy sitting a short distance away. As she slipped into the restroom her cousin slid across the room to let that good looking, hat wearing guy that her cousin was very interested in him. "I got him for you!" Marie heard her cousins yell and closed her eyes in embarrassment. They went on a date one week later and love came tumbling after.
Greg had finally decided to propose and he really wanted to do something special for his precious Marie. So, he ran a couple ideas by his sister and settled one one fantastic plan. He got a ginormous pumpkin and carved a small hole in the side. He then carved a little square hole for a ring box and inserted the ring into the pumpkin. Then with a clever hand he covered the hole with a bar code sticker and set it aside for the special moment. He asked Marie to come over to carve pumpkins and just like that she was peering into the large pumpkin. "How did you find a pumpkin with a diamond in it?" After the shock wore off she responded to Greg's plee for an answer. "Yes!"
